The Mug Shot currently comprises two coffee outlets: a cart in the Four Courts car park and a container with outdoor seating in Bridgefoot Street Park just off Thomas Street. Our Baristas Ann, Rachael, Crystal and Edward serve great coffee so please keep them in mind if you are in the city centre and are hankering for a beverage. The Mug Shot Café in the heart of Bridgefoot Street Park, Dublin 8 was officially launched in June 2023 by Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Caroline Conroy. A former shipping container has been refurbished to offer all the facilities needed to support a busy café as well as offering The Mug Shot greater space and scope to increase our product and service offerings. It also provides us with the opportunity to offer a broader level of training and experience to staff who are exposed to a diverse customer base. We believe we are fortunate to have a role in maintaining the dynamic of this inclusive public space—a project that reflects our own mission of positive transformation. The Mugshot are a social enterprise in action. A social enterprise operates like any other company, except that the profits are ploughed back into the company, or used for social gain. The bottom line for these companies is getting people back into the workforce.
