The Senior Management team is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational management and development of the organisation, upholding the organisation’s mission, vision and values. This experienced team provide advice and support on all PACE activities including, governance, financial management, project management, HR, legal and policy.

Maggie Clune |CEO

Maggie started her career in the private sector working in customer services, sales and marketing before starting her own business as a Training Consultant. Maggie has been working for PACE for 10 years, firstly as Training and Social Enterprise Manager and was recently promoted to CEO. During her first role in PACE, Maggie was instrumental in setting up PACE Social Enterprise including The Mug Shot coffee businesses which was established to provide jobs for people with criminal records who otherwise would find it difficult to secure employment in the labour market. 
Maggie’s work has been recognised nationally and internationally through awards such as European Network of Social Integration Enterprises (ENSIE) – Work Integrated Social Enterprise (WISE) Manager of the Year Award, 2020; and, Humanitarian of the year Award – Innovation for Change – (nominee and runner-up) Irish Red Cross, 2019. 
Maggie has a Masters in Social Science (Rights & Social Policy) and is currently working towards MPHIL researching labour market activation options for young people in the criminal justice system.       

Helen Nolan| Quality Standards 
& Policy Manager

Helen joined PACE’s senior management team in 2015 as Quality Standards & Policy Manager. She brings over 20 years of managerial experience in the social care sector, with an academic background in psychology and project management. At PACE, Helen leads the organisation’s quality, governance, and compliance functions. She develops organisation-wide policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and best practice and oversees audit and compliance reporting, stakeholder engagement and risk management frameworks. Helen brings extensive project management experience, leading PACE’s residential expansion and governance restructuring. She plays a key role in shaping organisational strategy, supporting the CEO and fostering a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.

Mark McDonnell| Finance Manager

Mark officially stepped into the role of Finance Manager in May 2026. Mark brings an extraordinary wealth of expertise to the organisation, backed by over 35 years of dedicated experience in accounting across a wide spectrum of sectors. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held key financial roles with prominent organisations, including the Bar Council, Smurfit’s, Global Fresh Exotics, and Co-Operative Housing. This diverse background has equipped him with a deep understanding of financial governance, corporate accounting and operational finance.
